George and "Hurricane Creek", thanks a million for a magnificent performance for Earl's birthday party. Folks are still talking about the event and I expect will do so for a long time.
Understandably, you contract for a fee. Your participation, however, goes beyond the normal. It appears that your hearts are totally in sinc with the activities. You guys are certainly flexible with your musical abilities. It shows in your demeanors and smiles, just how much you enjoy the business.

Thank you so much for a fantastic night of music and celebration. If I've heard it once, I've heard it a thousand times from the wedding guests- that Hurricane Creek is the best band we've ever heard at a wedding! And as the bride, I have to agree. In shopping for reception bands, you never quite know what you are getting until it's over- but with Hurricane Creek I felt at ease and confident from the first time I spoke with George on the phone. He is easy to work with and so amenable to any request I threw at him.
Hurricane Creek's professionalism shines through not only in their appearance, equipment and set up at our wedding reception, but most importantly in their attitudes and ability to "change on a dime" as we made adjustments to the schedule during our party. I can not thank them enough for "going with the flow" and filling in the gaps when needed- and of course- for sharing their talent with us. We had to drag everyone off the dance floor at the end of the reception- no one wanted to leave!
I can't wait to plan another party in the Cashiers/Highlands area and you can bet Hurricane Creek will be on my "must hire" list!

Hurricane Creek has been performing together for over 12 years and continues to grow in popularity as a premiere live musical group. The six members in the band each have numerous years of professional performance experience and together they've crafted their sound to cater to a wide variety of live music venues large and small including weddings, private parties, concerts and festivals.
Based in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, Hurricane Creek was originally formed in the Spring of 1996 by songwriters / musicians George Reeves and Lee Ladensack through a simple newspaper ad Lee placed in the local classifieds. They immediately became friends and through friends found another kindred spirit in bassist James Poe from Franklin, NC who has been with the duo since the bands beginning.
Now after over 12 years they are still writing and performing and together with musicians Dave Hunter on drums, Steve Johannessen on keyboards and vocals and Don Miller on Saxophone and vocals, they've come up with a great selection of cover songs to compliment their writing style as well as rounding out the four part harmonies that help shape the New Hurricane Creek sound.
